MANAGEMENT TEAM

Jifan Gao, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Gao established Trina Solar in December 1997. His success in developing Trina Solar over the past ten years originated from his experience with his prior two companies. Prior to founding Trina Solar, Mr. Gao established and managed Wujin Xiehe Fine Chemical Factory for five years. Earlier, Mr. Gao spent four years establishing and managing his first company, Guangdong Shunde Fuyou Detergent Plant. Mr. Gao currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the China Renewable Energy Society Solar Power Construction Committee and the standing Vice Chairman of New Energy Chamber of Commerce of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. He graduated from Jilin University with a MS degree in Physical Chemistry in 1988. He received his BS in Chemistry from Nanjing University in 1985.

 
Sean Tzou, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Tzou joined Trina Solar in March 2007. Prior to this, he spent more than 23 years working for Solectron Corporation in General Management, Operations Management, and Supply Chain Management. After receiving his MS in Industrial Engineering master from University of Texas, Mr. Tzou gained experience in the United States as a process and system engineer, which provided him with a strong foundation in manufacturing. Mr. Tzou has spent the past six years in the dynamic electronics industry where he focused on Asian operations and deepened his experience in strategic planning, product development, supply chain management, manufacturing and product services. He has proven himself to be a leader and model of achievement through his hard work and dedication.

 
Terry Wang, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Wang joined Trina Solar as our Senior Vice President of Finance in January 2008. Mr. Wang has 20 years of extensive experience in international financial operations and management in technology and manufacturing industries. Before joining Trina Solar, Mr. Wang served as the Executive Vice President of Finance of Spreadtrum Communications, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company listed on NASDAQ. Prior to Spreadtrum Communications, Mr. Wang served as CFO of a silicon valley-based technology company and controller at one of the world's largest NASDAQ-listed semiconductor assembly and testing companies. Mr. Wang holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Certified in Financial Management (CFM) as well as an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.

 
Steven Zhu, Vice President of Procurement & Business Development

Mr. Zhu was appointed Vice President of Business Development in September 2008 and Vice President of Procurement in May 2006 and has managed Trina's supply chain since 2005. Prior to joining Trina Solar, Mr. Zhu founded and served as president of a wireless internet communication company in China for four years. Earlier, his career work included a tenure with IBM in the United States. Mr. Zhu received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Virginia in 1997.

 
Gary Yu, Vice President of Manufacturing

Mr. Yu has been our Vice President of Manufacturing since May 2007. Mr. Yu has 17 years manufacturing management experience in semiconductor-related industries. Before joining Trina Solar, he was Managing Director of Wuxi Lite-On Technology, a LED assembly company in China. Prior to Wuxi Lite-On Technology, he served as a Director of Manufacturing for 1st Silicon Sdn. Bhd, Malaysia. Earlier, he worked at Macronix International, a semiconductor integrated device manufacturer in Taiwan. Mr. Yu received his master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan and his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tunghai University.

 
Dr. Suping Chen, Vice President of Manufacturing

Dr. Suping Chen has joined the Company as Vice President of Manufacturing, East Campus. Mr. Chen previously worked at Samsung Electronics (Suzhou) Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and at Seagate Technology International (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., where he served for over seven years in roles including Senior Product Manager and Operations Director. Dr. Chen, who formed his own management consulting company in 2006, has more than 12 years of IT manufacturing experience in China.

 
Anthony Chia, Vice President of Quality

Mr. Chia has been our Vice President of Quality since September 2007. Mr. Chia has more than 21 years of experience in quality management, involving the introduction and implementation of numerous quality systems, including 6-Sigma, TL9000, TS16949, ISO2000, ISO14000, UL and TUV RoHS. He also posses Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing certifications. Prior to joining us, Mr. Chia served as Director of Quality for SANMINA-SCI and as Director of Service and Quality Assurance at Motorola Singapore and China. Mr. Chia holds an MBA (MOT) and Degree of Engineering from National University of Singapore.

 
Dr. Qiang Huang, Vice President of Technology

Dr. Qiang Huang has been our vice president of technology since Oct 2008. Dr. Huang served our director of manufacturing engineering from May 2007 to Jul 2008. Prior to joining us, he served as senior manager of device integration of ST Microelectronics in Singapore from Sep 2006 to Apr 2007. From Jul 2004 to Sept 2006, he served as thin film module manager in X-Fab Sarawak (previously known as 1-Silicon) in Malaysia. From Apr 2001 to Jun 2004, he served as senior engineer, and then acting engineering manager in System on Silicon Manufacturing Co. ltd ( a joint venture between Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and Philips). Dr. Huang has more than eight years of commercial operations experience in semiconductor engineering development and engineering problem solving. Dr. Huang received a Ph.D degree in Physics of Thin Film from National University of Singapore in Singapore in 2001, a master’s degree in electronics materials and devices from Huazhong Univisity of Science and Technology (HUST) in China in 1998 and a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Xinyang Normal University in China in 1994.

 
Eehoon See, Vice President of Human Resources

Mr. See has been our Vice President of Human Resources since March. 2008. Mr. See has worked in China for more than ten years and was named one of the 10 Best Human Resources Managers in Suzhou three years in a row (2004-2006). Before joining Trina, Mr. See had over 30 years of working experience including heavy exposures in MNC companies, such as GM of HKG Esquel Group China JV, HR Director of Seagate Technology, and N Asia HR Director of Solectron Technology. Mr. See received his BA in Government and Public Administration from Nanyang University in Singapore in 1977. He completed an Executive HRM program at University of Michigan Business School in year 2000. During his assignment, Mr. See will report to the Chief Operating Officer of Trina Solar Ltd directly.

 
Patrick W. X. Lu, Vice President of Supply Chain

Mr. Patrick W. X. Lu has been our Vice President of Supply Chain since March, 2008. Mr. Patrick Lu had been working as a Managing Director for 7 years experience in German companies and also 3 years in China enterprises. He is familiar with business management and risk control. Prior to joining Changzhou Trina Solar Energy Co Ltd, Mr. Patrick Lu had successively held the position of General Manager in LEONI Wiring Systems (China) and Managing Director in XIANGMING Electromotors. He has received extensive training in Europe and earned a MBA from the Macau University of Science and Technology in 2003.

 
Diming Qiu, Commissioner of Technology Committee

Mr. Qiu joined the company in 2002 and has served as the Commissioner of the Technology Committee since January 2006. Prior to joining Trina Solar, Mr. Qiu held various positions with Yunnan Semiconductor Device Factory, a Chinese company engaged in the domestic manufacture of semiconductor and solar power products, where he was involved in the construction of a solar cell production line as early as 1984. In 2004, Mr. Qiu assumed responsibility for the research of PV components' integration into construction elements sponsored by China's Ministry of Science and Technology. Mr. Qiu received his BS in Physics from Sichuan University in 1965.

 
Jason Chan, Board Secretary, Vice President of Legal Affairs

Mr. Jason Chan joined Trina Solar in 2008 as Vice President, Legal Affairs, and reports directly to Jifan Gao. Before joining Trina Solar, he served as Legal Counsel of The9 Limited, a NASDAQ- listed company based in Shanghai. Mr. Chan attended City University of Hong Kong and has been qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong since 1997.
