Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr.Gaofounded Trina Solar in December 1997. Mr.Gao is the vice chairman of the China Renewable Energy Society, as well as the standing Vice Chairman of the New Energy Chamber of Commerce of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. Mr. Gao received his master's degree in physical chemistry from Jilin University in 1988 and his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Nanjing University in 1985.
Chief Finance Officer
Ms. Teresa Tan is appointed as Trina Solar Chief Finance Officer, effective January 10,2014. Prior to joining Trina, she has over two decades of global experience in accounting, finance, and management leadership roles. Most recently, Teresa was the head of the financial service team for Parker Hannifin Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, Ms. Tan wasthe Corporate Vice President of Taxat Aleris International and worked at Ernst & Young as a manager providing consultation to multinational companies as well as privately-owned companies. Ms. Tan is a CPA, with a B.S. degree in Management and Industrial Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China; she also received Master of Accountancy and Master of Art in Economics degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Virginia, United States.
Senior Vice President and President of Module Business Unit (MBU)
Mr. Zhu joined Trina Solar in 2011 and was named senior vice president in January 2012, and president of Trina Solar's Module Business Unit in September 2012. Prior to joining Trina Solar, Mr. Zhu served as the global finance operations controller and internal control and audit director and the chief financial officer of the Air-Conditioner Group at Haier Group, China Regional CFO and Vice President of Lucent Technologies (Qingdao), and also as the financial controller and acting general manager at HowdenHua Engineering Company. He received a B.S. degree in engineering from Tsinghua University, an M.S. degree from the University of Shanghai Science and Technology, a Certificate of Postgraduate Studies of Cambridge and an MBA from Imperial College London.
Stephanie Yang Shao
Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer
Ms. Shao joined Trina Solar as Chief Human Resources Officer in September, 2010. Prior to joining Trina, she worked in multiple Fortune 500 companies in the US, including Colgate Palmolive, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Dun Bradstreet in roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of HR, Marketing and Business Development. Ms. Shao holds a B.S. in Psychology from Beijing University, an M.S. in Management Psychology from Chinese Academy of Science and a Ph.D in Social & Organizational Psychology from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
Vice Presidentand President of PV Systems Business Unit (SBU)
Mr.Lin joined Trina as our China regional president in July 2012. He was appointed as the president of SBU in October 2013. Prior to joining Trina Solar, Mr. Lin worked at Siemens as senior vice president of Siemens SLC and general manager of the division of renewable energy for Northeast Asia. Before joining Siemens in 2004, Mr. Lin has also worked at LM Glasfiber; FOSS (a leading analytical instrument manufacturer in Denmark), and YuanDa Engineering, GE and Schneider Electric. Mr. Lin received a B.S. degree from the Beijing University of Technology and an MBA degree from the City University of Seattle in 2001.
Vice President and President of Distributed PV Generation Business Unit
Mr. Huang brings over 28 years of professional experience, including more than ten years in the solar PV industry. In his previous position as vice president for ShunFeng Photovoltaic International, Mr. Huang was responsible for the company's distributed generation PV projects business. Prior to ShunFeng, he held various senior roles at Hanwha Solar and Tongwei Solar covering supply chain management, manufacturing and overall corporate operations. His experience covers the entire industry value chain, including wafer, cell and module manufacturing, PV project EPC and project financing. Mr. Huang received his executive MBA degree from the China Europe International Business School.
Vice Presidentand President of Europe Region
Mr. Hill joined Trina in April, 2009. He has been President, Europe Region since July 2012. During his time at Trina, he has served as the acting head of global sales and marketing and as vice president of sales and marketing in Europe. He has 25 years of Solar industry experience. Prior to joining Trina, he worked with BP Solar for over ten years, having served in multiple sales management roles throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has also worked at Hiltec Solar Ltd., Nestec Ltd. and Sollatek Ltd. (UK). Mr. Hill has 25 years of experience in business development in the PV industry.
Vice President and President of Americas Region
Mr. Dorety brings rich management experience to the position, including eight years in the PV industry. Most recently he served as vice president of sales for JA Solar USA, where he was responsible for customer relations, sales, business development and operations for PV modules and cells in North America. Previously, he was global director of sales for BP Solar, in which he was responsible for worldwide module distribution. Mr. Dorety has also worked as director of sales for commercial projects with engineering, procurement and construction ("EPC") developer, groSolar. Before entering the PV business, Mr. Dorety held a number of senior leadership positions in companies engaged in the telecommunications equipment and mobile wireless industries, such as Lucent Technologies, T-Mobile and AT&T. Mr. Dorety received his BS degree in management from Clemson University.
