Black Hills State University
Black Hills State University (BHSU), nestled in Spearfish, South Dakota, near the Wyoming border, is currently embarking on an ambitious mission to be powered by 100 percent renewable energy. The plan, called the President’s Climate Commitment, aims to make the school 100 percent renewable by 2030. To meet its sustainability goals, this master’s-level state university with more than 3,800 students, contracted , a leading provider of energy-efficient technologies and solutions, to install rooftop PV systems on many of its buildings.
GenPro partnered with for a bundled package of high-quality modules, inverters, and racking. The total solar solution optimizes the PV system’s performance to deliver lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and quicker return on investment (ROI) for BHSU.
The Glades RV Resort
PV for RVs: Introducing One of the Country’s First RV Parks to Run on Solar Power.
The owner of the Glades Resort, an RV park in Moore Haven, Florida, noticed an opportunity to practice environmental stewardship and save money on his power costs by switching from traditional to renewable energy. But getting the PV system designed and ready for installation was complex, involving many moving targets and ambitious goals.
Find out how Trinasolar’s C&I Solutions team helped the Glades Resort become one of the first RV parks in the country to be fully powered by a 1 Megawatt (MW) solar power station.

Haynes International
Haynes International (Haynes), one of the largest producers of corrosion-resistant and high-temperature alloys, was seeking a cost-effective way to obtain energy savings for its tubular products facility in Acadia, Louisiana. At the same time, the company was working towards achieving its Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) goals, which include reducing emissions through decarbonization.
Haynes turned to (Spear) to install a rooftop solar installation at its Acadia facility to achieve its savings and ESG goals. Based in Austin, Texas, Spear is a leading developer of C&I solar projects and general electrical contracting, providing preeminent solar and electrical design, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) capabilities for customers nationwide. Spear had worked with Haynes before to build a 1.34 MW fixed ground mount PV project in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
In much the same way Haynes turned to Spear because of previous project success, Spear turned to team due to successful past projects. Trina’s C&I Solution’s innovative one-stop-shop model provided Spear with seamless and streamlined procurement of balance-of-system (BOS) components, supplying the modules and inverters. This helped alleviate work for Spear’s team so they could focus on the project without getting bogged down in dealing with multiple suppliers or distributors, which helped manage the project’s soft costs.
Inspira Health Center
Inspira Health is a charitable nonprofit healthcare organization and a regional leader in physician training. It has four medical centers, two comprehensive cancer centers, eight multi-specialty health centers, and locations throughout southern New Jersey. Inspira recently partnered with Rendina, a trusted national leader in healthcare real estate.
, located in Millville, NJ, develops, designs, and builds solar and energy storage projects for the commercial and industrial (C&I) market. Julian Rossini, the principal at Equinox, is a proven solar industry veteran with a long track record of success. Before joining Equinox, Julian partnered with Inspira to install a rooftop array using Trina Solar Tallmax modules. Atop Inspira’s Millville emergency medical center, the project garnered a nomination for 2021’s “C&I Project of the Year Award” from Solar Builder.
Building on that success, Julian, now with Equinox, once again partnered with Inspira and Trina Solar C&I Solutions to install a 331 kilowatt (kW) rooftop PV system for Inspira’s new medical clinic in Deptford, NJ.
Download the success story to learn how the first batch of with TOPCon technology available in the U.S. market allowed Equinox to overcome the initial design challenges and deliver project success for Inspira.
