Trinasolar gains EPD certification from UL Solutions and EPDItaly, with Vertex N 700W showing superior performance

Trina Solar has obtained Environmental Product Declaration certifications from UL Solutions, a global leader in applied safety science, for its high-efficiency Vertex N 700W modules, which has an industry-leading Global Warming Potential of 13.2g CO2 eq/kWh, Vertex N 610W and Vertex 670W. GWP is also widely understood as carbon footprint value. The company has also gained EPDItaly certification. The certifications validate the company’s fulfilment of social responsibility and promotion of sustainable development.

The Business Case for Energy Storage: Cost Effective Solutions for a Sustainable Future

With the next phase of Paris Agreement goals rapidly approaching, governments and organisations around the world are looking to increase the adoption of renewable energy sources. Some of the regions with the heaviest use of energy have extra incentives for pursuing alternatives to traditional energy. For example, in Europe, the incentive stems from an energy crisis but in the United States, it comes courtesy of the Inflation Reduction Act, a 2022 law that allocates $370 billion to clean-energy investments.

The Importance of Robust Operations & Maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems

Demand for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) continues to grow to meet the net zero energy demands around the world – and in today’s energy environment – they are fast becoming linchpins for reliability and efficiency in renewable energy integration and grid stabilisation.

Overcoming Energy Storage Supply Chain Deployment Constraints

According to a report by Benchmark Source, the supply chain intelligence analysts, Almost $300 billion of investment in new lithium ion battery gigafactories has been announced in the last 4 years, with nearly half of that ($130 Bn) announced in the last year alone. Investments in battery capacity are robust, and the S&P Global Commodity Insights report calculated manufacturing capacity will reach 6.5 TWh in 2030, led by China, which is projected to have over half the market share, alongside North America and Europe, each boasting over 1 TWh of lithium-ion battery capacity.

Trina Storage EMS Platform

Effective energy management has become a cornerstone for sustainable storage across the globe. The intricate interplay of energy sources, consumption patterns, and environmental concerns requires precise control, vigilant monitoring, and seamless optimization of energy flows. This level of management ensures reliable power supply, optimised operations of battery systems and also paves the way for reduced wastage for a greener tomorrow.

Trina Storage at RE+ 2023: What To Expect This Year in Las Vegas

Last year’s debut at RE+ marked our emphatic entry into the renewables landscape, unveiling Elementa BESS by Trina Storage and introducing our North American team. And since then, our dedication to the US market continues as we are soon to be opening an office headquarters in Upstate New York for our team to operate from.

From Backup to Baseload: The Versatility of Energy Storage Solutions

The future of energy storage holds remarkable potential, largely due to the expedited transition from traditionally being seen as primarily ‘backup’ systems to becoming fundamental components of the ‘baseload’ power generation – especially as more renewable power is generated across the world.

Smart Energy Storage Software: Optimising Efficiency for a Brighter Tomorrow

In an era of increasing energy demand, smart energy storage systems offer a sustainable solution for power requirements globally. Highlighting their exponential growth, 2022 was a record-breaking year in the United States with the installed base of utility-scale BESS increasing by 80%.
