On October 22-23, the World Economic Forum hosted the “Accelerating Industrial Transformation and Decarbonization 2024” summit in Tokyo, Japan. As one of the world’s premier industry events, the summit convened top leaders from government, business, and academia, focusing on key issues surrounding digitalization and the global energy transition. Trinasolar, a leader in the global clean energy sector, was invited to participate in this high-profile summit, with Executive President Helena Li joining as a panelist in the session titled “Empowering the Digital Age: Aligning ICT and Clean Energy for a Sustainable Future”.

Trinasolar’s factory in Yancheng, Jiangsu province, has been granted zero-waste landfill and zero-carbon factory (Type I) three-star certification by TÜV Rheinland, becoming the first company to obtain a zero-waste landfill certificate and the first in the PV industry to obtain both certificates from TÜV Rheinland. This sets a new standard in the industry and once again underlines Trinasolar’s relentless efforts in sustainable development.

Trinasolar has been named the Asia-Pacific winner in the water stewardship section of this year’s Sustainable Company Awards, organized by the online news and analyst service Environmental Finance. The award recognizes Trinasolar’s outstanding performance in reducing water consumption, making it the only company in the Asia-Pacific to receive the honor this year. This underlines Trinasolar’s excellence in sustainable water management and consolidates its position as a leader in sustainable development.

Trinasolar, a global leader in smart photovoltaic and energy storage solutions, has seen its Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ESG rating upgraded to BBB, placing it among the leaders in the PV industry.

Trinasolar has announced that it has successfully produced the world’s first fully recycled c-Si module. Research Center Academy of Trinasolar made the breakthrough with its innovative self-developed recycling technology, using materials, including silicon, sliver, aluminum frames, glass recovered from waste modules. This achievement underscores Trinasolar’s commitment to sustainable development and its leading position in the industry.

Trinasolar’s factory in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, has obtained the 2023 Zero-carbon Factory (Type I) Four-star Certificate from TiGroup, the second time such authoritative green certification has been awarded to it since it became the first zero-carbon factory in the photovoltaic industry last year.

With the approaching International Day for Biological Diversity on May 22, PV technology has once again garnered attention for its ability to reduce carbon emissions and restore ecological systems. Trina Solar has been granted ISO 37301:2021 compliance management system certification by the British Standards Institution, affirming that the company’s compliance management complies with international standards. Certification was presented in a ceremony on March 7. ISO 37301:2021 was published by the International Organization for Standardization in April 2021 for establishing, developing, implementing, evaluating, maintaining and improving an effective and responsive compliance management system within organizations.
