Trinasolar, in collaboration with industry partners, hosted a site visit to a landmark agrivoltaics and aquavoltaic project. This 150MW installation combines aquaculture with solar power, utilizing Trinasolar’s 210 high-efficiency Vertex series modules. The project, completed in two phases, is supported by Trina Storage’s energy storage solutions, including a 27MW/54MWh liquid-cooled battery energy storage system (BESS), Trina Storage Elementa, in Phase II. Leveraging Trinasolar’s vertically integrated solutions—ranging from modules to energy storage and from battery cells to the AC side—the project exemplifies advanced solar-storage integration and intelligent power distribution, setting a new benchmark for the industry.

Trinasolar Sets Fully Passivated Solar Module Efficiency Record of 25.44%
Trinasolar has announced its high-efficiency n-type solar total passivation (TOPAS) heterojunction (HJT) PV modules have achieved an aperture module efficiency of 25.44%, setting a world record for large-area HJT PV modules. The photovoltaic calibration laboratory independently confirms this at the Fraunhofer ISE (CalLab) in Freiburg, Germany. The reported module sets a record for PV modules based on crystalline silicon solar cells with front and back contact structures, which also sets a world record for module efficiency for a silicon module.
