Mr. Gao Jifan, a native of Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Nanjing University in 1985 and a master’s degree in Physical Chemistry from Jilin University in 1988. Inspired by the Kyoto Protocol and the US Million Solar Roofs Initiative, Gao Jifan founded Trinasolar in 1997.

Over the past 28+ years, Trinasolar has cemented its position as an industry leader. It was the first PV and energy storage company listed on the STAR Market (Science and Technology Innovation Board) that integrates photovoltaic products, energy storage, system solutions, and digital energy services. Notably, the Company was named the first “Industry Shaper” for solar at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Over the years, Trinasolar received a series of prestigious awards at home and abroad.
