A large-scale rooftop solar installation has been completed at a warehouse in Mechelen, Belgium, marking a major step towards renewable energy in commercial logistics. The system was built by Earth Belgium, managed and owned by CleverNett, and features Trinasolar’s Vertex N modules.
The installation comprises 13,046 panels, delivering a total PV capacity of 8,415 kWp. The solar power generated is supplied via an on-site power purchase agreement (PPA) to a factory located across a railway line, providing reliable clean energy for operations running 24/7.
By combining Trinasolar’s high-efficiency Vertex N modules with expert engineering and installation from Earth Belgium, the project demonstrates how large commercial buildings can maximise rooftop space for renewable energy generation. This installation will deliver substantial annual energy production, reduce reliance on the grid, and contribute to lowering operational carbon emissions.
This project highlights the potential of high-performance solar technology to meet the demanding energy needs of industrial operations while supporting a more sustainable and resilient energy system.
