Trina Showcases Solar and Energy Storage Innovation at ACP CLEANPOWER 2026 in Houston
June 10, 2026
FREMONT, Calif., June 9, 2026 – Trinasolar and Trina Storage brought their latest solar and energy storage innovations to ACP’s CLEANPOWER 2026 in Houston, connecting with customers, developers, EPCs, and industry partners throughout the week to discuss project opportunities, emerging technologies, and the future of renewable energy. As one of North America's premier clean energy events, CLEANPOWER gathers leaders from across the industry to explore the technologies, partnerships, and innovations accelerating the energy transition and shaping the future of power generation and storage.
A major highlight of the event was the introduction of
Elementa 3, the latest generation of Trina Storage’s utility-scale energy storage solution (ESS) designed to meet the increasingly diverse and demanding requirements of renewable integration projects in North America. Developed using insights gained from hundreds of megawatt-hours (MWh) of deployments worldwide, Elementa 3 delivers enhanced flexibility, industry-leading safety, and improved lifecycle value.
Elementa 3 features Trina Storage’s in-house 587Ah high-capacity cell, increasing single-container capacity to 6.25 MWh. Through optimized module and enclosure design, the system delivers a 12.3% improvement in module energy density compared to the previous generation, while its compact architecture increases site-level energy density by 24.7%. These enhancements help customers reduce the Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS) while maintaining ease of installation and serviceability. During the conference, Trina also recorded a special CLEANPOWER edition of its
Trina Talks podcast, featuring a discussion with Michael Watson, Head of Product with Trina Storage, about the innovations and customer benefits behind Elementa 3.
In addition to showcasing its latest technologies, Trina hosted a customer appreciation event bringing together customers and partners from both Trinasolar and Trina Storage. The evening provided an opportunity for attendees to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, and continue conversations about solar projects, energy storage opportunities, and the role of integrated renewable energy solutions in the evolving energy landscape. Guests were also treated to an exciting finish as the Houston Astros rallied with six runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to secure a dramatic come-from-behind victory, adding to an unforgettable evening of networking and celebration.
“ACP CLEANPOWER continues to be one of the industry’s most important platforms for collaboration, innovation, and meaningful customer engagement,” said Eric Cao, Vice President of Trinasolar North American PV and Storage Business. “The event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with customers and partners, discuss the evolving needs of solar and storage projects, and share our latest technology advancements. As demand for reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions continues to grow, Trina remains committed to delivering high-performance solar and storage products that help our customers maximize project value and achieve their long-term energy goals.”
For Trinasolar and Trina Storage, ACP CLEANPOWER 2026 reinforced the importance of collaboration, innovation, and customer partnership as the renewable energy industry continues to grow and evolve.
