Trinasolar Debuts TOPCon Module Vertex N G3 at PV EXPO 2026, Japan

March 26, 2026
Trinasolar, a global leader in smart solar and energy storage solutions, launched its latest n-type TOPCon Vertex N G3 module in Asia for the first time at PV EXPO 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight from March 17 to 19. Designed for utility-scale solar applications, the Vertex N G3 incorporates Trinasolar's latest TOPCon Ultra technology and delivers up to 760W output with improved system-level performance and long-term reliability.

Trinasolar is a global manufacturer of solar photovoltaic modules with cumulative shipments exceeding 292 GW worldwide as of June 2025. The company has been named a PVEL Top Performer for 11 consecutive years and was included in S&P Global Commodity Insights' inaugural Tier 1 Cleantech Companies list for solar PV modules in 2025, reflecting its strong manufacturing scale, reliability and global market presence. Trinasolar has built a dedicated local team in Japan since 2010, covering sales and marketing, operations, technical support, logistics, and after-sales service. This local presence enables Trinasolar to provide customers with efficient technical and operational support.

The Vertex N G3 (NEG21C.20Q) builds on Trinasolar's n-type i-TOPCon Ultra technology, which the company has been advancing since 2015. Advanced passivation structures and cell design improvements, including multi-cut edge passivation, ultra-fine metallization and high-density interconnection, reduce energy loss during the conversion of sunlight into electricity. This enables the Vertex N G3 to achieve up to 760W output and 24.5% efficiency. An optimized voltage-to-current ratio enables lower operating voltage and higher string power. These help reduce balance-of-system (BOS) costs and levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) by approximately 2-3% compared with standard module configurations. These advantages are particularly relevant for utility-scale solar projects in Japan, where developers seek to maximize energy yield and system efficiency within land and project cost constraints.

For commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop applications, Trinasolar launched the Vertex S+ G3 (NEG9RP.28Z). Delivering up to 485W of power in a lightweight 1762 × 1134 × 30 mm format, the module is designed to support efficient installation on space-constrained commercial rooftops, a common requirement in Japan.
