Trina Storage Reaches Major Delivery Milestone with 1.7GWh Asia-Pacific Project

January 21, 2026
21.01.2026 - Trina Storage, a leading provider of energy storage solutions, has recently completed the delivery of a 1.7GWh energy storage project in the Asia-Pacific region, marking the largest overseas shipment in the company's history. The milestone underscores Trina Storage's growing strength in executing large-scale, cross-regional projects, while reinforcing its continued expansion and leadership in global markets.

The project is powered by Trina Storage's Elementa 2 energy storage system, featuring proprietary battery cells and AI-enabled biomimetic liquid cooling technology. By maintaining cell-level temperature variation within 2.5°C, the system enables stable operation across a wide ambient temperature range of –30°C to 55°C, ensuring reliable performance under high-temperature and high-load operating conditions. This precise thermal management is critical to enhancing system safety, extending lifecycle performance, and supporting long-term operation in large-scale projects.

Beyond the project scale, this delivery highlights Trina Storage's ability to manage complex logistics, regional compliance requirements, and on-site integration across international markets. The solution with Elementa series continues to demonstrate strong adaptability across diverse grid conditions and application scenarios, offering a scalable, repeatable, and bankable solution for utility-scale energy storage worldwide.

Backed by 29 years of technological expertise and global operational experience from Trinasolar, Trina Storage has built a comprehensive global service network to support customers worldwide. The company currently operates 23 service centers across more than 180 countries and regions, delivering localized, end-to-end support throughout the full project lifecycle to ensure compliant and efficient execution.

Supported by a steadily expanding global delivery footprint and a strong track record of project execution, Trina Storage continues to demonstrate mature capabilities in utility-scale project planning, system integration and cross-regional delivery. In S&P Global Energy's 2025 Energy Storage System Integrator Report, Trina Storage ranked 8th globally and placed among the top 10 integrators across multiple international markets, including Europe, the Middle East & Africa (MEA), Australia and other key regions worldwide. The successful implementation of this 1.7GWh Asia-Pacific project further underscores the company's ability to deliver large-scale energy storage projects across diverse grid environments.

Looking ahead, Trina Storage will continue to strengthen its presence in key global markets, delivering safer, more reliable, and more resilient energy storage solutions. Through close collaboration with partners worldwide, the company remains committed to enhancing grid stability, accelerating renewable energy deployment, and advancing the global transition toward a net-zero future.
