Trinasolar’s Vertex N 700W+ modules demonstrate high mechanical reliability under extreme wind conditions
The modules were installed in Zhangbei County, Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province—a region widely known for its persistent high-wind climate. The site experiences strong winds for more than seven months each year, with wind speeds reaching up to 41 m/s, equivalent to Category 1 typhoon-level conditions, making it a representative environment for validating wind resistance in utility-scale solar applications.
Post-operation inspections showed that the Vertex N 700W+ modules maintained full structural integrity under continuous and intermittent high wind loading. No frame deformation, twisting or bolt failure was observed, and all mechanical connections remained intact throughout operation.

“Field test results in Zhangbei demonstrate that the Vertex N 700W+ modules maintain reliable performance and strong energy yield even under high-wind and challenging conditions, as verified in many other extreme environments,” said Ni Lili, President of Trinasolar's Solar Product Division. “Their high energy yield and reliability create real value for customers, ensuring safer operation and more predictable returns.”
The outstanding performance of Trinasolar's Vertex N 700W+ modules is rooted in design stage. Enhanced mechanical structures, including thicker frame walls and comprehensive structural optimization, ensure reliability under diverse real-world conditions. Their design has been validated by third-parties, passing TÜV SÜD wind tunnel tests and excelling in rigorous programs conducted by Kiwa PVEL and RETC.
