UK’s largest solar-plus-energy project wins IJGlobal “Solar Deal of the Year” award using Trinasolar modules

April 9, 2026
The Cleve Hill Solar Park, equipped with Trinasolar's 373 MW of high-efficiency PV modules and developed by Quinbrook, has won the IJGlobal 2025 “Solar Deal of the Year” award. The recognition underscores Trinasolar's role in supporting the UK's clean energy transition while advancing biodiversity and sustainable development.

Located on the north coast of Kent, Cleve Hill Solar Park successfully connected to grid in July, 2025. As UK's largest solar-plus-energy project, it delivers 373 MW of clean, affordable power to more than 102,000 UK homes, which is more than four times the size of the next largest operational UK solar project. This project will help reduce carbon emissions by more than 142,000 tonnes in operation. It is also expected to support over 2,500 direct and indirect jobs and generate more than GBP 114 million in local socio-economic benefits over its lifetime.

Recognized as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project, Cleve Hill combines renewable energy generation with a strong commitment to biodiversity. The project features a 56-hectare Habitat Management Area designed to support bird species including Lapwing, Brent Goose, Golden Plover, and Marsh Harrier, achieving a 65% biodiversity net gain on site.
