Four solar plants in Cádiz, Spain
UtilityThis 234 MW project for Statkraft, located in Cádiz—one of the sunniest regions in the world—comprises four solar plants: Arenosas, Malabrigo, El Yarte, and La Guita. The plants are expected to generate approximately 500 GWh of clean energy annually, supplying power to 120,000 households and avoiding 80,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year.
Vertex bifacial modules were selected for their high performance and advanced design. Featuring 210 mm monocrystalline cells, high-density encapsulation, and excellent low-irradiance and temperature behaviour, these modules are ideally suited for high-yield environments. Combined with tracking systems, these modules can deliver up to 25% additional yield from the rear side and allow longer strings, enabling up to 41% more string power output.
“We are delighted that Statkraft is improving access to solar power in Andalucía. Trinasolar is pleased that our expertise in producing high-power, cost-effective solar panels can be useful in such a worthwhile project. We look forward to building on this project and expanding the region’s solar power use in the future.”
