Trina Storage Ranked Among S&P Global’s Top 10 Battery Energy Storage System Integrators for 2025, with Top 10 Positions Across Multiple Regions

January 5, 2026

S&P Global Energy has recently released its 2025 Energy Storage System Integrator Report, naming Trina Storage among the Top 10 battery energy storage system (BESS) integrators globally, ranking 8th worldwide. The ranking is based on integrators' cumulative installed and contracted capacity worldwide, measured in MW terms, as of July 31, 2025. Notably, Trina Storage also secured Top 10 positions across multiple key regional markets, including Europe, the Middle East & Africa (MEA), Australia, and other major markets worldwide, underscoring the company's strong global footprint and broad-based regional strength.

The recognition from S&P Global Energy highlights Trina Storage's ability to execute utility-scale projects reliably across diverse markets, supported by strong system integration capabilities and a robust global project pipeline, underscoring its long-term competitiveness within the global energy storage industry.

Integrated Capabilities Built for Global Markets

As a global energy storage system integrator, Trina Storage remains committed to delivering high-value, safe, and reliable energy storage solutions through continuous innovation and global execution. Leveraging Trinasolar's extensive experience in the photovoltaic sector and its worldwide presence, Trina Storage has established end-to-end integration capabilities, spanning core components, system design, project delivery, and intelligent operation and maintenance.

Through a combination of system engineering expertise and standardized, modular product design, Trina Storage is able to adapt flexibly to varying grid requirements and application scenarios across global markets, supporting reliable performance and long-term economic value for utility-scale projects.

Global Track Record Across Key Regions

These integrated capabilities have translated into a growing portfolio of landmark projects across Asia-Pacific, Latin America, North America, Europe, and the Middle East & Africa, including deployments in complex and challenging environments such as deserts, high-altitude regions, and island grids, while maintaining strong localization and long-term operational stability.

  • North America: Trina Storage has expanded its strategic partnership with Lightshift Energy, with both parties committed to jointly delivering over 1 GWh of energy storage projects in the coming years.
  • Latin America: The company achieved a milestone with the shipment of a 1.2 GWh single-site energy storage project in Chile, setting a regional benchmark.
  • Middle East & Africa: The Abydos 500 MWh solar-plus-storage project in Egypt, delivered by Trina Storage, was successfully grid-connected in July this year and stands as one of the largest single-site hybrid projects in Africa.
  • Asia-Pacific (excluding China): Utility-scale projects under construction have surpassed 2.4 GWh, spanning key markets such as Australia, Japan, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.

Strong Growth Momentum and Global Service Network

With its global delivery capabilities continuing to expand, Trina Storage expects its annual shipments to double in 2025, reaching approximately 8 GWh, with shipment targets planned to nearly double again in the following year. In parallel, the company has already secured over 10 GWh of overseas orders, most of which are scheduled for delivery between 2025 and 2026.

Supporting this growth is a customer-centric global service framework covering the full project lifecycle. Trina Storage operates an extensive operations and maintenance network across more than 180 countries, supported by over 100 spare parts hubs worldwide, providing lifecycle services from early-stage project support through long-term operation.

“This recognition from S&P Global highlights Trina Storage's strengths in technology innovation, global delivery, and sustainable development.” said Mr. Yang Bao, President of Energy Storage Division at Trinasolar. “We will continue to serve diverse market needs worldwide with safer, higher-performance energy storage solutions, supporting the evolution of next-generation power systems and the global energy transition.”
